Database Administrator improves and contributes to our Logistics database platform. You will be responsible for managing, creating and maintaining new and existing database on both SQL and non-SQL on all Entrego System. Analyze an organization’s data management, input, and security needs, and help develop tools that support data access and information security.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
- 3+ years Database Administration work experience (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL, DynamoDB experience strongly preferred)
- 3+ years creating, maintaining and supporting Database in a high transactional environment
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to produce across your team and beyond
- Rock solid Database management skills
- Control access permissions and privileges
- Develop, manage and test back-up and recovery plans
- Manage the disaster recovery aspects of a database
- Create backup produces and ensure that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly
- Write database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata)
- Install and test new versions of the database used by Entrego (AWS RDS)
- Perform regular checking of Entrego's databases (AWS RDS, DynamoDB, etc.)
- Communicate regularly with engineering, applications, project management and operational staff to for any updates related to database and date integrity
- Carry out capacity planning

- Approves database related requirements, access, and modifications

- Ensure that all database is Running 24/7
- First class communication skills in written and verbal form
- Prior experience with Logistics Platforms, e-Commerce systems, Payments Solutions and Providers is a big plus
- Experience developing fault tolerant distributed database systems is highly desirable
