Implementation Engineer

Job Description

Transforming a designed and calculated warehouse solution into a live operation requires some skill and knowledge.

We are looking for a technical, versatile and open minded team player to support our contract logistis team. He/She is responsible for overseeing the implementation and managing the flawless start of new operations. That includes customer coordination, pricing monitoring, layout execution, IT system readyness and working closely with the operations team. The role reports to the Director of Contract Logistics.

Responsibilities:

  • Give feedback and participate in projects in the design phase with suggestions in best practices and cost saving potential
  • Manage implementing projects of contract logistics after take over from our solutions design team
  • Coordinate troubleshooting internal operations, business development, IT and other departments on the proposed solution
  • Support in the IT WMS individual set up to customer requirements together with the IT department
  • Develop and hand over process flows, work instructions and layout to the operation team
  • Present project plan to the client and internal stakeholders
  • The position requires local travel to warehouse operations around 50-80% of the time

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position with a business degree
  • Logistics background (good and hands-on understanding of the operation in a warehouse or supply chain)
  • IT background to be able to become WMS super user
  • Project management skills required and strong assertive personality
  • Good with MS Excel and budget understanding
  • Goes the extra miles to understand and meet customer expectations
  • Demonstrates a strong service mentality
  • Takes initiative to propose innovations and improvements
  • Builds strong working relationships
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Good verbal and written English skills
  • Team player to work with different in-house departments
